Dr. Aran
Dr. Reza Aran graduated with Doctor of Dental Surgeon (D.D.S) from the University of Shiraz in Iran in 1996. He practiced as a family dentist in different fields of dentistry for more than 10 years in Iran. In addition to preventive and restorative dentistry, he gained a valuable experience in surgical extraction of teeth specially wisdom teeth, Root Canal Therapy (RCT), Crowns and Bridges.
As a life time learner Dr. Aran attended several training courses in different field of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry and occlusion. He attended several lectures, seminars and conferences to keep his knowledge updated and advanced his skills to be able to provide the best and highest quality of work to his patients.
Dr. Aran joined International Dentistry Degree Completion Program (IDDCP) at UBC Faculty of Dentistry In 2005. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) from UBC in 2007. He was chosen as an Undergrad Academic Teaching Assistant to assist in simulation clinic for 2nd and 3rd year students. He has also been recognized by the faculty of dentistry to receive several awards during his two years education at UBC.
Dr. Aran has been practicing as a family dentist in Vancouver and lower mainland since his graduation. He is living in the lower mainland with his wife and two children
Dr. Aran believes that continuing education to upgrade knowledge and skills is one of the most important parts of patient care. He has been participating in several study clubs, lectures, and courses since graduation. One of the areas that he is most keen to advance his knowledge and skills is Implant in dentistry. He has also been a member of study club for implant restoration.
Dr. Aran is a part time clinical instructor at the faculty of dentistry, UBC and he is a member of BC Dental Association (BCDA) and Canadian Dental Association (CDA).
