Infection Control
All instruments and hand pieces that are used in a dental procedure are steam autoclaved after each patient. Instruments are thoroughly washed and wiped clean. Then will be running in an ultrasonic for 15 minutes in antiseptic solutions. They are then wrapped or packaged into sterile pouches to prevent contamination. The instruments are then placed into a digital autoclave for ultimate sterilization. They will be kept packed and wrapped until the moment that we need to open them for each individual patient.
Disposable items are discarded after each use and are never reused.
All lights, chairs, delivery systems and surfaces of the treatment room are either covered by a protective barrier or cleaned after each patient with a CDA approved solution. All protective barriers used are also replaced and disposed after each patient.
