Here at Sunrise Dental Clinic, our team is committed to providing you the best care possible in a gentle and compassionate manner. We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient comfort in an effort to make every visit a pleasant experience for the whole family.
We place a special emphasis on creating a friendly, stress-free environment. Our main focus is on providing high-quality preventative and restorative dental care in a gentle, warm, and family-type atmosphere where patients receive the high standard of care they want and deserve.
Dentist
Coquitlam dentist Dr. Reza A. Hassiri graduated with a doctor of dental surgery (D.D.S.) from Iran’s University of Mashad in 1994. He moved to Vancouver, Canada after 13 years of clinical experience and participation in more than 100 hours of seminars and training courses in various field of dentistry.
Because of his up-to-date knowledge, Dr. Hassiri was quickly accepted by the University of British Columbia’s dentistry faculty and joined the International Dental Degree Completion Program (IDDCP) in 2008. He graduated with a doctor of dental medicine (D.M.D.) from UBC in 2010. He is proud to be a member of the Iranian Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and a dental surgeon of British Columbia.
Dr. Hassiri believes in comfort-centered approach. He relies on the latest in dental equipment and technology for a pain-free, stress-free experience. The office care team is dedicated to fostering a welcoming atmosphere of caring, and lasting professional relationship.
Dentist
Dr. Mehran Mousavi obtained his Master’s degree in dentistry in 1994 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj, Romania. He then continued his education and received his Doctorate dhTehran. Since then, he has continuously has practised dentistry and participated in various international conferences and study clubs.
In 2010 he moved to Canada and took up residence in the beautiful city of Coquitlam. In 2011, due to his up-to-date knowledge and skills, he successfully fulfilled all the requirements and was granted the National Dental Board Certificate. Currently, he is an active member of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC (CDSBC) and the Canadian Dental Association (CDA).
Dr. Mousavi’s main focus is his patients’ care and he enjoys practising all aspects of dentistry but especially aesthetic dentistry.
Outside the office, he spends most of his time with his family and friends. He also loves hiking, swimming, cooking and reading.
Dentist
Dr. Azin Zeraaty earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Azad University of Tehran in 2016 and moved to Canada in 2018. She has a special interest in preventive, restorative, and pediatric dentistry, with a focus on minimally invasive, evidence-based care.
Dr. Zeraaty is dedicated to providing honest, personalized treatment and takes the time to ensure her patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care. Her gentle approach and attention to detail help create a positive experience for patients of all ages.
She is a member of the British Columbia Dental Association and the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zeraaty enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and spending quality time with her family.
Dentist
Dr. Mohammad H. Jahangiri received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Azad University of Tehran in 2016. Following his graduation, he gained valuable clinical experience before moving to Canada in 2018.
Since 2021, Dr. Jahangiri has been a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry, where he teaches restorative dentistry and dental ethics. He is also passionate about mentorship and has been supporting internationally trained dentists since 2019 as they transition into the Canadian dental system.
His professional interests include restorative and aesthetic dentistry, where he combines precision, artistry, and evidence-based care to enhance both oral health and natural aesthetics.
Dr. Jahangiri is a member of the British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA), the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP), and the American Dental Association (ADA).
He is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in a welcoming and respectful environment. His approach emphasizes clear communication, comfort, and trust, helping patients feel at ease throughout their dental journey.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jahangiri enjoys swimming, traveling, and exploring different cultures. His passion for continuous learning and teaching continues to enrich both his clinical practice and academic role.
Dental Hygienist
Soudabeh Tavana graduated from Vancouver Community College and acquired her Dental Hygiene Diploma in 2014. She is a proud candidate of the Dental Hygiene Degree Completion at the University of British Columbia. Soudabeh continuously strives to be a caring, hard-working, and enthusiastic member of Sunrise Dental. She believes in patient comfort and fostering wellness, promoting oral health and preventative care all readily accomplished by a strong team approach. Soudabeh enjoys many outdoor activities and spending time with her family outside of work.
Certified Dental Assistant
Hadis is a remarkable individual who has seamlessly transitioned to a thriving career as a Certified Dental Assistant in Canada since her graduation from CDI college in 2021, after a successful nursing career in Iran. Her diverse experience and unwavering commitment to patient care bring a unique perspective and deep understanding, making her a compassionate, empathetic dental assistant and a valuable asset to the dental healthcare community. Hadis believes in the power of relationships and is known for her warm and welcoming personality, which creates an inviting atmosphere for those close to her. She is a devoted wife who loves cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)
Atena is a Certified Dental Assistant and Orthodontic Assistant at Sunrise Dental, dedicated to providing high-quality care and creating a positive experience for every patient.
She began her dental career after completing her training at CDI College in 2023 and has since developed a strong passion for patient care and clinical excellence.
Outside of work, Atena enjoys spending time with her family and staying active through swimming and Pilates.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Joo graduated from the Vancouver Community College (VCC) Dental Hygiene program in 2014. Since then, she has been committed to providing gentle, personalized care while building meaningful relationships with her patients.
She values working in a supportive and diverse environment and enjoys connecting with patients from different backgrounds and cultures.
In her free time, Joo enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks, and fishing.
